The Williams Building (1885)
This historic property, originally constructed as a hotel in the late 1800s, was recently acquired after sitting vacant for some time. More recently, the building served as office suites.
Now under new ownership, The Williams Building represents an exciting opportunity to restore this antique structure and reimagine its use. Initial plans are to modernize the interiors while preserving original architectural details from its hotel origins.
Ideas for the redevelopment include a mix of retail and restaurant spaces on the ground floor, with boutique hotel rooms above. The new owners are again dedicated to enhancing this unique building and transforming it into a lively hub and community asset.
We look forward to sharing updates soon as plans progress to revitalize The Williams Building into a cornerstone of downtown Bainbridge—as The Water Street Hotel.
